In spring 2023, Ænergy submitted an application to establish a solar park on Ålborgvej in Hjørring Municipality. The project covers an area of 70 hectares and has a planned capacity of 40 MWp.
After an initial screening, the project has been selected for further development by both committee and city council, and it is therefore moving forward positively. In the autumn of 2023, a citizens' meeting was held, where we presented the project and gave the opportunity for dialogue about the plans.
The solar cell project also opens up opportunities for sector coupling to other energy infrastructure in the area, including local biogas plants and the rest of the energy grid. By combining solar energy with biogas and potentially other energy sources, a more flexible and efficient energy supply can be created, which supports the transition to renewable energy.
