Back in autumn 2022, the process around Solcellepark Nagbøl began, when both the nearest neighbors and the municipal administration became aware of the desire to establish the plant.
Next followed a dialogue-creating process which, in addition to citizens' meetings, consisted of a series of dedicated working group meetings, the purpose of which was to articulate and discuss both doubts, ideas and initiatives - all with a focus on creating the best possible project together.
In this way, both municipal and local interests in and around the area have become an incorporated part of the project. Specifically, initiatives such as path system and allotments to the neighbors have become the result of this.
In the spring of 2023, another large citizens' meeting was held, in which both municipal politicians and administration participated.
At the back of this meeting, Ænergy was invited to submit an application for the establishment of a solar cell plant, and local planning for the project has subsequently been initiated.
The draft of the local plan for the project was approved on 24/9-2024 by the city council in Kolding Municipality, and the project is therefore currently in public consultation. Ænergy currently estimates that establishment of the plant can begin in Q1 2025.
